"Ce bai ye" from Hong Kong market, which seemed to be the leaves of Podocarpus species of Podocarpaceae, was examined anatomically to clarify its botanical origin, by comparing with the leaves of Podocarpus plants from South China; i.e. P. annamiensis N.E. GRAY, P. neriifolius D. DON, P. forrestii CRAIB et W.W. SMITH, P. brevifolius FOXWORTHY, P. macrophyllus (THUNB.) D. DON, P. macrophyllus var. angustifolius BLUME and P. macrophyllus var. maki ENDL. The result showed that the main botanical origin of "Ce bai ye" on the present Hong Kong market derived from Podocarpus leaves was P. annamiensis.
