Nematocidal Principle(s) in Ulmi Pasta

Ulmi pasta (fermented mixture of fruits, flowers and leaves of Ulmus macrocarpa) showed an appreciable nematocidal activity on the second-stage larvae of Toxocara canis. Its active constituent(s) was identified as decanoic acid by gas chromatography (after methylation) of the effective fractions.
