Antihypoglycemic effect of Maca in fasted and insulin-induced hypoglycemic mice

マカの抗低血糖作用を絶食およぴインスリン誘発抵血糖マウスを用いて検討した。マカの根茎の水抽出物(1000mg/kg)は経口投与後30分に絶食マウスの低血糖を改善した。また,インスりン誘発低血糖も同様に改善した。しかし,飽食マウスにおいては血糖の変化は見られなかった。また,エピネフリン誘発高血糖マウスの血糖値にも変化は見られなかった。これらのことから,マカの抗低血糖作用機序として糖新生を促進する可能性が考えられた。
