Antidiabetic activity of Fuscoporia oblique and Samallanthus sonchifolius in genetically type 2 diabetic mice(Incentive Award, 2006)

2型糖尿病に対するカバノアナタケおよびヤーコンの効果を遺伝的肥満型糖尿病モデル動物であるKK-Ayマウスで検討した。カバノアナタケは投与6週間後の血糖値を低下させ,インスリン値をも低下させた。さらに,インスリン負荷試験の血糖値を低下させた。これらのことから,カバノアナタケの作用機序としてインスリン抵抗性を改善することによる血糖値の低下と考えられた。ヤーコンも投与6週間後のKK-Ayマウスの血糖値およびコレステロール値を低下させた。ヤーコンはまたKK-Ayマウスの糖負荷後の血糖値の上昇を抑制し,さらに,小腸からのグルコース吸収を抑制した。これらのことから,ヤーコンの作用機序として小腸からのグルコースを抑制することによる血糖値の低下と考えられた。
