^<29>Si NMR Studies of an "Unusual" Paramagnet FeSi : Anderson Localized State Model

"Si NMR as well as magnetic susceptibility and electrical resistivity measure-ments have been r>erformed on an "unusual" r>aramaxnet FeSi. It is shown thatthe observed low temr>erature rror>erties -such as the as>'mmetric shape of the"Si sr>in-echo snectrum and the exr>(7'-i/4) t>rr>e temr>erature der>endence of theresistivity-can be explained consistently by considering the existence of theAnderson localized states (caused r>resumabl>' b'z some residual imr>erfections ofthe crystal) with intra-state correlation. At higher temperatures, it is suggestedfrom the temperature dependences of the "Si spin-lattice relaxation time and theresistivity that the thermodynamical properties are governed by the correlatedmodes of spin fluctuations with strongly temperature-dependent amplitude.
