The microscopic magnetic properties of MnSi have beeut investigated in themagnetically ordered state using the transient NMR technique. The distributionof the resonance frequencies of both "Mn and "Si, the external field dependenceof the resonances and the magnitude of the enhancements of the driving rf fieldwere studied in detail. From these results it is shown that MnSi has a helicalsrin structure at zero field as indicated by previous neutron and NMR experi-ments. The magnetization p?"ocess is interpreted as one proceeding throughhelical to conical to ferromagnetic transitions. Tlte external field dependence ofthe nuclear relaxation rates are also discussed.
