Effect of External Field on Spin-Glass Behavior of Fe_<65>(Ni_<0.74>Mn_<0.26>)_<35> Alloy

The AC susceptibility and the magnetization at various external fields of anFe.,(Ni..,.Mn....).. alloy have been measured from 4.2 K up to 200 K. The ACsusceptibility exhibits a sharp cusp around 60 K, while the magnetization curve shows abroad maximum around 60 K as well as an inflection point below the maximum point,which appears at a lower temperature with increasing external field. These behaviorsare explained by a model in which ferromagnetic clusters are dispersed randomly in anantiferromagnetic matrix.
