Magnetic properties of stoichiometric and off-stoichiometric NbFez intermetalliccompounds have been studied. It has been revealed that the stoichiometric NbFe.shows strongly enhanced Pauli paramagnetic properties. The temperaturedependence of its susceptibility in a weak external field shows a maximum as observedin other exchange enhanced metals such as Tide.. The concentration deviations fromthe stoichiometry toward both sides result in ferromagnetism.
