Paramagnetic Susceptibility in Fe-Pt Invar Alloys

Paramagnetic susceptibility has been measured in Fe -Pt Invar alloys containing24-32 at '/, Pt. The observed susceptibility-temperature curves obey the Curie-Weiss law. A Rhodes-Wohlfarth plot of the results indicates that the Fe-PtInvar alloys are itinerant ferromagnets. The effects of spin fluctua.tions areimportant to understand both the ntagnetic properties and the magnc:tovolumeeffects in these alloys.
