Paramagnetic scattering using polarized neutrons has been measured onY..,.Sc...,Mn., which is a Pauli paramagnet with rerrnarkable spin fluctuation effects.The wave vector dependence of scattering indicates a strong antiferromagnetic cor-relation. The energy analysis of the scattering has revealed that a substantial part ofthe scattering is caused by zero j>oint fluctuations. Tire amplitude of thermally excitedlocal spin fluctuations has been estimated as a function of temperature.spin fluctuations, Laves phase compound, neutron scattering
