Observation of the Antiferromagnetic Order in Metallic Compounds V_3S_4 and V_3Se_4

The "V NMR in the metallic V.S. and V.Se. have been investigated in thetemrerature ranxe between 1.4 K and 300 K bv the r>hase-colterent rulsed NMRtechnique. The spin-echo spectra for V3S4 and V3Se. are broadened rapidlybelow 9 K and 16 K, respectively, showing the antiferromagnetic long rangeorder below these temperatures. The temperature dependences of the "V Knightshift, the uniform susceptibility and the hyperfine field which corresponds to thesublattice magnetization are in general accord for both cases with the predictionof the self-consistent renormalization theory for weak itinerant antiferromagnets.
