Pairing Symmetry of High-T_c Cu Oxide Superconductors Studied by Nuclear Spin-Spin Relaxation

• We report the temperature dependence of the planar ^<63>Cu(2) nuclear spin-spin relaxation rate for high-T_c Cu oxide superconductors YBa_2Cu_3O_<6.98> (T_c〜92K), LaBa_2Cu_3O_<6.93> (T_c〜92K) and Y_2Ba_4Cu_7O_<14.95> (T_C-60K), including the previous report for YBa_2Cu_4O_8 (T_c〜82 K). The Gaussian decay rate 1/^<63>T_G below T_c shows a slight decrease but remains enhanced as above T_c. A secondary reduction of 1/^<63>T_G for YBa_2Cu_3O_<6.98> and LaBa_2Cu_3O_<6.93> has also been observed below about 30 K. We associate this with a change in the character of the superconducting order parameter. We conclude that Cooper pair of the high-T_c superconducting state is basically in a d-wave gap state.
