Observation of <235>^U NMR in the Antiferromagnetic State of UO_2

The "'U (I : 772) NIVIR f'or ttaagnetic trr?tnitntta sites with 51'-electrons h?ts been first ol,>servedin the antiferrotaaatgnetic state of' U03. The h3'perfizae field is estirau;tted to foe 252.3 -i 0.5 T. XX7ellartictrlated qtuadrupole splittings have also been o bserved with l e'qQ (3cos'# - l ) //2 l = 392 l: l llVIHz. This indicates the presence of 2111 electric field gradient j.>rodtrced by the [5-grovtnd statefor 5f-electrons in the rn?'tgnetic ordering.
