NMR and NQR Studies of a Semiconducting Compound U_3Ni_3Sb_4

• The "'Sb Knight shift and the """'Sb nuclear spin-lattice relaxation time T inU,Ni,Sb.have been measured. In the tentperature range between 25 and 250K, l /T ,which has been measured by nuclear quadrupole resonance (NQR), follows an activa-Lion law with an activation energy of 21.1 men. The relaxation process is dominatedby the magnetic contribution. The Knight shift is represented as the sum of a stronglytemperature-dependent anisotropic term and a temperature-independent term. Thetransferred hyperfine field from the U 5f electrons through the U 5/-Sb 5p hybridiza-tion makes an important contribution to the Knight shift.["'Sb NMR, "'Sb NQR, "'Sb NQR, Knight shift, nuclear spin-lattice relaxation, lj U,Ni,Sb.l
