M5ssbat?er experintent of "Fe and "'Sn in /7-Mn alloys has been naadeAbout 803 of iron atonas occupy positions of site I and tin atonas occupy site II.The averane la>'r>erfine fields at "Fe and "'So iatcrease as the lattice constantincreases. The h)'perflne field at "Fe in Mn.-.Fe. is about ]0k0e at 4.2 K forx>0.02. The isovner shift of iron is -0.23 mna/sec at 295 K. The iron atom hasa snaall localized ?nontent in /7-Mn. A transfer of d electrons from jnapurities tothe d band of Mn is concluded to be the ntost iutaportant source to induce theantiferrontauetisnt of /7-Mn allo>'s with 3d-transition metal impurities. N<Seltemperatt?res of alloys with iron and tin are expressed by two xacain contributions,which are tlce effects of d-electron nunvber and lattice expansion.
