The specific heat anc[ M6ssbatter effect were measured of the metallic comr>oundCoSez, which has bet:n rerorted to be antiferromaxnet. It is concluded thatCoSez is not an antiferromaxnetic but a raramamnetic metal doxvn to 4.2 K. Theoebve tenar>erature is 345 K and the coefficient of electronic contributio?t tospecific heat 7 is ] ] nvJ/I('-mole.
