Masnetic-surerconductor Y9C07 has been investisated from a magnetizationmeasurement in the temperature range between 0.5 K and 420 K and in themagnetic fields II from X 2 Oe to 70 k0e. The magnetization M can be expressedin a form of H/Mza-X-bM'-1-cM' up to 70k0e at 0.5 K. Above 2.2 K (super-conducting transition temperature) and in a limited region of magnetization, themagnetization is expressed in a form of H/M=a%bM'. The spontaneous mag-netization M, varies with temperature T as M:cc(T:" -T"'), where T,. is theferromagnetic transition temperature of 4.2 K. The magnetic moment extrapolatedto zero temperature and zero field is 0.09 z?/YgCo.. These behaviors indicateY,Co. to be a very weak itinerant-electron ferromagnet. The magnetizationcurve in a superconducting state suggests a very hard type II superconductor or aninhomogeneous state.
