Distributions of the quadrupole splitting observed by the M6ssbauer effect inamorphous YFe. and Fe.5Ni5.B..Si. broaden during annealing below theircrystallization temperatures. From the broadening it is concluded that the stru-ctural relaxation produces a rearrangement of nearest neighbor atoms towards arandom configuration.
