Magnetization of Y.Ni, and M6ssbauer spectra of "Fe doped in Y.Ni. aremeasured. The paramagnetic susceptibility of Y,Ni, above 150 K follows the CurieWeiss law. The ratio of paramagnetic moment to ferromagnetic moment of 0.077 p.per nickel atom is 6, revealing an itinerant-electron character of ferromagetism inY.Ni.. The hyperfine field of "Fe doped in Y,Ni, is - 190 k0e, which lies on asmooth interpolation curve between the hyperfine field in Y.Ni.. and that in YNi, as afunction of yttrium concentration in contrast with a re-entrant behavior of amagnetic moment of nickel atom in the compounds.Y.Ni, itinerant-electron ferromagnetism, M6ssbauer effect of "Fe
