A new iridoid, 1-deoxyeucommiol, was isolated from the leaves of Eucommia uhnoides harvested in summer, along with the known compounds, catechol, 3-(3-hydroxyphenyl)propionic acid, 3-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)propionic acid (dihydrocaffeic acid), erythro-1-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)propan-1,2,3-triol (guaiacyl-glycerol), trans-4-hydroxycyclohexane-1-carboxylic acid and eucommiol.
