P4.r?V.The BriQouin spectra associated with the pure longitudinal acoustic mode(elastic stiffness c'f.) of rubidium hydrogen sulfate RbHS0. have been studiedin the temperature range between -40' and -F-20'C. The frequency shift andthe full width at half maximum of Brillouin satellites show the anomalous behav-ior near the transition temperature (7'.= -8.76'C) and below. From the anoma-lous parts of them, the temperature dependence of the polarization relaxationtime is evaluated within a phenomenological framework and is determined as(1.9-l:0.3) x 10="/(7'. -T) sec in the ferroelectric r>hase.
