Light Scattering Study of Effect of Hydrostatic-Pressure on the Ferroelectric Relaxational Mode in KH_2PO_4

Light scattering spectra of KDP in the x(yx)y geometry have been measured athydrostatic high-pressures up to 4.7 kbar as functions of temperature in the frequen-cy range :E5 cm '. The spectra at high pressures clearly showed that the relaxationtime decreases with increasing pressure.
