Nuclear Spin Relaxation at Planar Copper and Oxygen Sites in YBa_2Cu_3O_<6.96>

The temperature dependence of the spin lattice relaxation rates (7'f ') at the planarcopper (Cu(2)) and oxygen (0(2, 3)) sites in High-I. superconductor; YBa,Cu,0...,has been re-examined using an oriented powder sample. We have confirmed the ex-istence of a characteristic region around T. where the degrees of suppression of bothT. "s are equivalent. At the lower temperature, the decrease of the relaxation rate atthe Cu(2) sites was more rapid than that of the 0(2, 3) sites, and obeyed the powerlaw against the decrease of the 042, 3) relaxation rate. This is in contrast with aprevious report.
