Structural Relationships among Killer Toxins Secreted from the Killer Strains of the Genus Williopsis

The structual relationships among the killer toxins secreted from the genus Williopsis were relealed by genomic Southern blot analysis and immunoblot analysis. Killer toxins of W. mrakii and W. saturnus showed structural similarities. However, killer toxins of W. beijericnkii and W. californica did not show any structural similarities although they had similar killer spectra to those of W. mrakii and W. saturnus.
