Neutron diffraction studies on a single crystal of Tb..,Er.., alloy which hadbeen considered to be a tilted helix structure from magnetization measurements, have been carried out at 4.2 K. It has been found that not only the fundamentalsatellites, but also the very weak 5th and 7th order harmonic satellites are obser-vable at 4.2 K. From the analyses of the observed structure factors, the ?nagneticstructure could be interpreted to be a homogeneous tilted helix with a tilt angle of17' for both Tb and Er moments at 4.2 K. The appearance of the higher ordersatellites suggests a bunching state where the magnetic moments projected in thebasal plane bunch about the easy directions. On the basis of the theory of Sher-=rington, the stability of tilted helical ordering in the ground state is briefly dis-cussed.
