Magnetic Property and Electrical Resistivity of NdAg_<1-x>In_x

The magnetization and electrical resistivity measurements have been performed onNdAg, .In. (Op,v30.8) with the CsCl type structure. The compound for,vfi0.05 hasonly one antiferromagnetic ordered phase. The ferromagnetism appears at0.05<,vfi0.6 accompanied by a metamagnetism below T( which is about half as highas 7'C. All the compound with 0.6 3,v30.8 has two antiferromagnetic phases below T.and between T. and T.. The ferromagnetic moment is as large as 2.2 p. indicating theT." is the ground state but the paramagnetic moment above 77 K corresponds to thevalue of Nd" free Ton. In the electrical resistivity, the temperature gradient changesat T.. and T., and the magnitude changes at T( and T. where the temperaturehysteresis is not observed.
