Polarized neutron diffraction study of Fe.P single crystal has been carried outat liquid nitrogen temperature. The magnetic moments and magnetic form factorson both the tetrahedral Fe. and the pyramidal Fe.. atoms have been determinedfrom the observed flipping ratios for 21 different (A#0) reflections up to sin 0/2?0.71 A '. The maxnetic moments are ux=0.92i0.02wn and uum=l.70i0.O2unfor Fej and Fe.. site atoms, respectively. The magnetic form factor on Fe. atomis noticeably different from that on Fe.. atom. The results are explained as beingdue to the different degree of the covalent bondings with surrounding P-atomsfor both Fe atoms.
