• The superspace analysis method of modulated crystal strttcture has been extendedto cover a discommensuration system and applied to investigation of the discommen-surate effect on the 2nd-order satellite reflections of K.Se0.. 'The phase modulation ofMcMillan-type is additively taken into account in the amplitude-modulated structuredetermined from the lst-order satellite reflection intensties. Existence of several 2nd-order satellite reflections which sensitively depends on the dis,commensuration densitywas found numerically and confirmed experimentally. It is concluded that the struclure at the temperature 3 K above the lock-in transition is affected by the phasemodulation corresponding to a discommensuration density of 0.78.
