The release of sodium diclofenac from granules prepared with hydrogenated soya lecithin(lecithin) alone occurred slightly more slowly than that from a commercial tablet. The addition of cholesterol to the granules caused a significantly slower release as the cholesterol content in the granules was increased. The release of sodium diclofenac from granulci; containing cholesterol seems to occur by the leaching mechanism proposed by Hieuchi.
