An analysis is made for dependences of Zeeman patterns on the direction and the strength of magnetic fields H_0 applied perpendicularly to the c-axis, which have been investigated experimentally by Harada, Sakatsume, and Tsujikawa. Calculated results on the basis of the crystal field theory can explain the experimental results fairly well. In particular, dependences on the direction of H_0 provide the data to determine, whether the excited state is Γ_6 or Γ_7, and whether its g⊥-value is ositive or negative, by taking account of selection rules derived for following three experimental arrangements; E⊥c, H_0⊥c, and E⫽H_0, E⊥c, H_0⊥c, and E⊥H_0, and E⫽c and H_0⊥c. From dependences on the strength of H_0, the ratio between two electric dipole transition moments from ∣^4A_2±1/2> and ∣^4A_2±3/2> to a certain excited Kramers doublet can be determind.
