• The crystal structure of (H<SUB>3</SUB>O)<SUB>2</SUB>[(Mo<SUB>6</SUB>Cl<SUB>8</SUB>)Cl<SUB>6</SUB>]·6H<SUB>2</SUB>O was determined by the X-ray method and its near-infrared absorption spectra were measured. These results can be interpreted by a view that the molybdenum nuclei of this complex are regarded as a small metallic particle.
