Modification of Helix in (Ba_<1-x>Sr_x)_2Zn_2Fe_<12>O_<22> Due to Applied Magnetic Field

Magnetization measurements and neutron diffraction experiments were carriedout on (Ba. ,Sr.).Zn.Fe..0.. in a field applied parallel tc>the c-plane. Spinsin the (T./.ST./.) block are observed to be bunched in the form of ferrimagnet.Five magnetic phases appear with increasing field : laelix with a small ferromagneticcomponent, intermediate (I) having a period of four (T./.ST./.) blocks, infer-mediate (2) and (3) having a period of two (T.7.ST.7.) blocks; and ferromagnetic.A crossing angle between the adjacent (T.j.ST.7.) spin blocks is almost equal tothe turn angle of the helix in the first three phases, rapidly decreases in intermediate(3) phase and becomes zero in ferromagnetic phase.
