Single Crystal Neutron Diffraction Study of SrFeO_<3-x>(x=0.1)

Neutron diffraction study was carried out on single crystals of the perovskite oxide SrFe0e.=.(.v=0.1). SrFe0e-.(.v=0.1) has a r>rot>er screw srin structure with the propagation vector parallel to [111] direction and its N<Set temperature is 118 K. The electron configuration of Fe"(3#') ion is close to the low-spin state (ffs) and the ox>'sen ion has the unr>aired electron with the masnetic moment. of 0.37. antiparallel to the vector sum of the magnetic moments of two iron ions lying on the neighbouring planes perpendicular to the screw axis. The absolute value of the propagation vector is almost Constint, 0.l30x73-2m/aA-', at temperatures below 50 K, while it decreases gradually at higher temperatures reachinu0.118XV3-2m/aA-' at Ts.
