Endogenous Gibberellins of Young Developing and Abscising Fruits of Carica papaya L.(Organic Chemistry)

Gibberellin A_1 (GA_1), GA_3, GA_<55> and 3-epi-GA_1 were identified by capillary gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS) in young fruits of Carica papaya L. Gibberellin A_3 was dominant in young developing fruits, while GA_<55> was the major component in abscising fruits. Furthermore, abscising fruits contained a neutral GA_3-conjugate.
