• Documentation of chromosome numbers in 11 species of Artemisia in Ural Mountains and Vladivostok areas, Russia was made. The chromosome number of 2n=50 for A. umbrosa was reported here for the first time. The chromosome numbers of 2n=34 for A. argyi, 2n=18 for A. gmeline, and 2n=34 for A. rubirpes were new counts to the species, while those of 2n=16 for A. argyi, 2n=34 and 50 for A. gmeline, and 2n=16 for A. rubripes verified the previous counts.
