For the purification of the F and S components of leukocidin, and the HγII component of γ-hemolysin from methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus RIMD 310925, an easy two-step method was developed. This technique yielded a recovery of 3.6, 1.6, and 6.4 mg of purified F, S, and HγII, respectively, per liter of the culture supernatant with a recovery of more than 90% each from the culture supernatant.
