Low-Temperature Nuclear Spin-Lattice Relaxation Process in the Cu(2) Sites of YBa_2Cu_3O_<6.98>

The NQR spin-lattice relaxation time Tg in the planar Cu (2) sites has been carefullyremeasured for both the isotopes, "Cu and "Cu, in the typical high-7'. oxide super-conductor YBazCu.0,.g.. A substantial rf-field amplitude El. dependence of the decayof nuclear magnetization has been observed at 4.2 K. Namely, a short relaxation proc-ess becomes more pronounced for the weaker H. and the lower temperatures. It isnevertheless assured that the relaxation process is totally governed by the magneticprocess in the superconducting state, as; well as the normal state. This is because wehave confirmed that the isotopic ratio of the relaxation between "Cu and "Cu isfound to be very close to the square of the nuclear gyromagnetic ratio rather than thenuclear quadrupole ratio even at the lowest temperature investigated, 4.2 K.
