NMR and Specific Heat Investigations in a Strong Electron-Phonon Coupling Superconductor HfV_2

The nuclear spin lattice relaxation rate 1 /T, of "V auad specific t?eat have beeuameasured in a strong electron-)vltouaoua cou)cling stt)cerconductor HfV.. Tlte beltax'iorof 1 /T T betweexa 9.4 K and 100 K ina tlte normal st;tie Clll be attributed to a sltarp nar-row d-band with tlte laalf width of abotxt 100 K. In tI?e superconducting state, tlae1 / T. shoxvs a very sunall enltauacexnentt just beloxv 'A., and ltas tlte 7" dependence w'ellbelow T Tltese beltaviors are interpreted satisfactorily iua terms of tlae ABM moclel.Tlve x'alue of the electrouaic specific lveat coefficient is about forty tinves as large as lltatfor Al. Tlte electrc>utic part of tlae specific lteat is j'*ro)cortional to T' at low temjcera-tures. Tlaese facts 111(l'8l1 tltat tlte su?cerconductiutg euaergy gap of HfV. is anisotropicauad vanislaes at points on tlte Fernai sttrface.superconductor, HfVz, NMR, spin-lattice relaxation, sjcecific lteat
