NMR and NQR Studies of ^<17>O and ^<63>Cu in CuO_2 Plane of High-T_c YBa_2 Cu_3O_<6.65> with T_c=61K

The microscopic property of each oxygen and copper site in the Cu0z plane ofYBa.Cu.0..., with T.=61 K hcts been investigated by "0 NMR and "Cu NQR tech-niques. It has been found that the nuclear spin-lattice relaxatior? rate l / T. for Cu sitesis depressed by three orders of magnitude as compared with th;tt for YBa.Cu,O. withT.= 92 K, whereas l / T. for oxygen sites exhibits a rather small change, decreasingapproximately to one-fourth (1/4). From this difference of tlte relaxation behaviorbetween oxygen and Cu sites, it is derived that the progressive reduction of l / T. foroxygen sites is responsible for the decrease of the 7t-hole carriers, while the extra-ordinary decrease of l / T. for Cu sites is due to the dramatic suppression of the low-frequency components of an antiferromagnetic spin fluctuation of nearly localized delectrons. The spin fluctuation at the Cu sites is found to strongly correlate with the p-hole content.
