Cu NQR Study of the Spin Dynamics in High-T_c Superconductor La_<2-x>Sr_xCuO_4

The nuclear spin-lattice relaxation time T3 of "Cu in La. .Sr,Cub. was measuredin the concentration range of ,X'=O.075 -0.15 near the magnetic phase boundaryaround x= 0.05. At low Sr concentration and low temperature, (T. T ) ' was found toincrease markedly with a development of strong antiferromagnetic (AF) spin correla-lion among Cu spins. In normal state, (T.T ) ' exhibits a temperature dependence ofC/ (T -I- 0) associated with the Curie- Weiss law of the staggered susceptibility Z.(7') atthe zone boundary, Q=(n/a, n/a), above 60K and approaches a nearly constantvalue in a narrow 7'-region just above T.. T. decreases with decreasing 0, becomingzero at ,X'=0.05 when 0 is extrapolated to zero. The rapid decrease of l / T. below T.has commonly been observed irrespectively of further development of the AF correla-lion with decreasing Sr content.
