Site assignment of copper NQR signals in the oxygen-deficient YBazCu,0, , systemhas been performed using Gd- and SmBa.Cu.O. ,. The NQR signal around 30 MHzarises mainly from the Cub. plane site for the 60 K superconductor, while a smallamount of the signal from the CuO chain also coexists. With further decreasing theoxygen content, the intensity of the latter signal increases. Finally, the signal from theplane disappears from the NQR line around 30 MHz in the semiconductingspecimens.
