The f(χ)-Curves for FeKα and AlKα X-Rays in the Inclined EPMA Targets of Fe, Al and Fe-Al Alloy

The rotaing inclined target method is applied to obtain the f(χ)-curves for pure iron, pure aluminum and Fe-Al 24.09 wt% alloy targets mounted in electron probe micro-analyser (EPMA). Some considerations on experimental arrangement for accurate measurement are described. Obtained f(χ)-curves are applied to the quantitative micro-analysis of Fe-Al alloy, and the results are confirmed to agree with chemical analysis.
