Magnetic Structures in the Sc_<1-x>Ti_xFe_2 System : Magnetic Phase Transitions in Itinerant Electron Systems

The magnetic structure and magnetic phase transitions of Sc.-.Ti.Fe. with,vg0.5 were studied from measurements of M6ssbauer effect and magnetization.A coexistent state of ferro- and antiferromagnetism appears at low temperaturesin samples with x'gO.7. A magnetic phase transition from the ferromagnetic tothe coexistent state is observed with decreasing temperature for 0.7$.v<0.8and that from the antiferromagnetic to the coexistent state for .v>0.8. Thesetransitions can be explained as phase transitions in an itinerant electron systemwith weakly coupled ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic components of spinfluctuation modes.
