• We report magnetic properties and the phase diagram of NdB_2C_2 which has the same tetragonal LaB_2C_2 crystal structure as that of the antiferroquadrupolar ordering material, DyB_2C_2. NdB_2C_2 is an uniaxial anisotropic antiferromagnet with T_N = 8.8 K. The propagation vector in the magnetic ordered state below T_N is k = [100]; the coupling between the nearest neighbour magnetic moments in the c-plane is antiferromagnetic, and that along the [001] direction is ferromagnetic.
