Relativistic Effects on the Level Structure of Quarkonium

The relativistic effects on the level structure of quarkonium is estimated for the charmonium and the bottonium by using the Breit-Fermi type interaction. For the charmonium, the effects are rather conspicuous and the pure orbital corrections, especially the Breit term seems to be necessary to explain the radial excitation.
