Cluster structure in the highly-excited states of ^<24>Mg is investigated by the use of the ^<16>O+2α orthogonality condition model (OCM). In order to avoid a large dimensional calculation, a μ-truncation method is proposed and its usefulness is discussed. The results of the ^<16>O+2α OCM show that the of ^<20>Ne+α cluster structure is dominant in the highly-excited states with E_x=10〜20 MeV. The α-^<16>-α linear-chain structure in highly-excited state of ^<24>Mg is discussed.
