The Universality of Quark Interactions : The Linearity of "g-J Plot" in Baryon and Meson Resonances

• Using the harmonic oscillator L-excitation model, we have deduced the universality of the strength of q-q interactions κ_<qq> (Hooke's constant) in baryon resonances, from the linearity of "g-J plot" --a simple relation between the decay coupling constant g for a resonance and its spin J[M. Hirano, A. Ito and K. Iwata, Prog. Theor, Phys. 44 (1970), 561]. Here, applying the same method used in our previous work to meson resonances which are assumed to be q-q^^- systems in this model, we show that the universality is durable in not only q-q but also q-q^^- interactions, that is, κ_<qq>≃κ_<qq^^->.
