Theoretical Predictions of Low-Lying Three-Body Resonance States in ^6He : Nuclear Physics

Using the cluster orbital shell model of the ^4He+n+n three-body system, we investigate low-lying resonance states described by the p-shell configurations of two valence neutrons in ^6He. Applying the complex scaling method, we calculate resonance energies and decay widths (lifetimes) of excited 0^+, 1^+ and 2^+ states. In addition to the first excited 2+ state, which has experimentally been observed and reproduced well by this model, we predict the second 2+ (E_x=3.43 MeV, Γ=4.75 MeV), the first 1^+ (E_x=3.75 MeV, Γ=6.39 MeV) and the second 0^+ (E_x=4.69 MeV, Γ=9.45 MeV) three-body resonance states.
