Production of Yeast Cells from Palm Oil at the High Temperature of 40℃

Candida blankii CBS 1898 was chosen as the best strain for the production of yeast cells from palm oil at the high temperature of 40℃. The cell yield and the specific growth rate of this strain in shake culture at 40℃ were about 80% and 0.37 h^<-1>, respectively, and the content of crude protein was about 40%.
