Experiments and Analysis of Point-Contact-Spectra of NdCu_6

Point-Contact-Spectra of /-electron compound NdCu. were measured at 1.6K - 10 K. We observed two types of structures, one is due to the inelastic conductionelectron scattering by Nd ions accompanying the excitation between the crystal fieldsplitted levels and another is due to a magnetic transition by way of Joule's heating.From the careful analysis of simulation and the experiment, we got a method todiscriminate the latter from the former. As a result, we succeeded to identify threepeaks due to the crystal field excitation at 2 mV, 4.5 mV and 9 mV.point contact spectroscopy, crystal fields splitted 4f-levels, NdCu.
